Right after we’ve done the non-invasive and painless cone beam CT scans and gone through your medical history, we’ll be able to let you know if you’re a good fit for All-Fixed Solutions Full Mouth Dental Implants during your consultation. Most folks are great candidates, but if for any reason you’re not, don’t worry – will suggest other ways to help you smile with confidence again.
Not to worry! With our All-Fixed Solutions Dental Implant surgery, the healing process varies from person to person but generally isn’t drawn out. Most folks start feeling back to their usual selves in just a few days.
After the implants are in, it’s normal to have a bit of tenderness where the implants were placed, but this can easily be managed with pain relievers like ibuprofen or paracetamol, along with a bit of rest. We find many patients tell us they don’t feel the need to take any of these.
Feel free to eat whenever you’re ready post-surgery, sticking to softer foods initially that you can easily cut with a fork. For the first 4-6 months, we suggest opting for meals that are gentle on the chew to give your implants the best chance to bond securely with your jaw.
By the 6-month mark, after a final check to ensure everything’s healed up nicely, you’ll be all set to dive back into your favourite crunchy and chewy foods, like steaks and apples.
