Dr Marcus O’Meara brings more than 20 years of clinical experience and a genuinely patient-centred approach to his work in the Northern Rivers community. Originally from County Cork in Ireland and part of a fifth-generation dental family, Marcus combines decades of experience with a modern approach to helping patients restore their oral health and smile.
Since settling in the Northern Rivers in 2003, Dr Marcus has built a reputation for providing thoughtful, personalised care in a relaxed and welcoming environment. He has a strong interest in implant and restorative dentistry and is passionate about helping patients achieve functional, natural-looking outcomes through carefully planned treatment.
At Fixed Teeth Australia, Dr Marcus works closely with our national team of clinicians, laboratory technicians and support staff to help patients navigate every stage of their treatment journey. He combines modern digital technology with clear communication, ensuring patients feel informed, comfortable and supported when making decisions about their care.
Outside the clinic, Marcus enjoys keeping active, playing golf, reading and spending time with his partner Lisa and their three daughters, Lola, Amélie and Chi Chi.
Dr Marcus has undertaken extensive postgraduate education in implant and restorative dentistry, including completing basic implantology training with MIS in 2013. He later achieved Full Accreditation with the Australasian Society of Implant Dentistry (ASID) in 2022, followed by Fellowship 2 training in Advanced Implantology and Bone Augmentation with the Australian Institute of Implantology (AIA) in 2023. He remains committed to ongoing professional development focused on modern implant and restorative treatment approaches.
Known for his calm and reassuring nature, Dr Marcus is especially passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their treatment journey. He believes excellent patient care begins with trust, communication, and creating a welcoming environment where patients feel genuinely listened to.
Dr Marcus completed his dental training in Ireland before relocating to Australia in 2003. Since then, he has continued to pursue ongoing education in implant, restorative, and digital dentistry to stay at the forefront of evolving treatment techniques and patient care practices.
